Conquest, GRS Team Up for Full-Season Entry
Updated: Mar 4, 2021
Conquest Racing and GRS Autosport will team up for a full-season IMSA Prototype Challenge effort, fielding a Norma M30 Nissan for George Staikos and Danny Kok.
The Canadian drivers, who were planning a full-time campaign in the LMP3 series last year, were forced to cut short their 2020 campaign due to border restrictions amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The team will field the Norma in the new-for-2021 LMP3-2 class, which is reserved for previous-generation machinery.
“I am happy to be in the IMSA paddock with Danny and George” said Conquest team boss Eric Bachelart.
Staios and Kok were classified 14th in last year’s season-opener at Daytona, in what turned out to be the only race the duo contested in 2020.
“I am happy to be able to confirm our commitment to the series by partnering with Eric Bachelart of Conquest Racing” said Staikos.
Kok added: “I have been racing with George for several years and this is really his first full season of racing.
“He has come such a long way in such a short period of time and I look forward to racing with him in this exciting venture.”
The IPC season kicks off on Jan. 23 at Daytona during the Roar Before the Rolex 24 weekend.
